Fort Worth Herd Drover Donald Lee prepares to carry the U.S. flag on The Herd’s cattle drive Friday in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards in honor of the 19th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, when terrorists hijacked passenger planes and crashed them into the Twin Towers in New York City. Fort Worth is the only city in the world that has twice-daily cattle drives. The cattle drives, which are at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., every day (362 days of the year), are a big hit with visitors to Fort Worth from all over the world. Donald Lee represents the black drovers who rode on cattle drives during the 20-year span that began around 1866. Please like the Fort Worth Herd’s page on Facebook.
